2016 we are turning a new page in the life of the Trailblazer. For the past 2+ years my sending agency and spiritual covering has been FROM Ministries. It has been a a great ride with Eugen & Nancy Strickland at the helm leading our efforts. I want to give a huge thank you to the Strickland’s for their service and dedication to this ministry and to the work of the Lord. However, we have decided to part ways. We will forever be friends and I love and respect the Strickland, but the Lord has led us in a new direction.
As of January 1, 2016 Commission To Every Nation will be my sending agency and spiritual covering. CTEN will now be administering your financial contributions. With each financial gift you send you will receive a tax deductible receipt letter with a detachable return label for your next donation. You can check out CTEN at www.cten.org CTEN has had a mission presence in Guatemala for many years and I have a long time relationship with Regional Care Pastor Missionaries Dave & Janice Ewing.
As far as my ministry and work in Guatemala nothing is changing. I will continue with all the projects and ministries we have done for so many years in Guatemala. Community development with an emphasis on clean water projects will be my main ministry push. Bio sand filters, spring boxes, and drilled wells are just a few of our projects. I will also continue to work with Vida Real Church and I58. I will be helping with the implementation of Family Kits, and evangelism. Each Family Kit includes a water filter, an efficient wood burning stove with a chimney, and 4 bulb solar light kit. We have about 700 kits to install all over Guatemala.
I will continue ministering to high risk adolescents through Valientes retreat for boys and Princesses retreat for girls. The retreats will be held at two different times per year. You can scroll down and read more about both outreaches.
I will also continue to work with The Perfect Gift Christmas box project. Over the past few years we have shared the true Gospel message of the love of Jesus with more than 15,000 children and their parents all over Guatemala. We start ramping up the first week of October, and usually finish some time in January.
I cannot do any of these projects without your prayers and financial partnership. The Gospel message is a free gift paid for by the blood of Jesus, however, the road it travels down takes a lot of financial resources and equipment.
