Six years ago the Lord put it on my heart to have a Christmas outreach adopting a village and bless their socks off with the Love of Jesus. That first year we blessed about 300 children from the community of Izabalito with an amazing Christmas and the love of Jesus. In the past few years the little project has changed a lot. I began to partner with a group of young people from my church and the first year we worked together we were able to raise almost 1000 gift boxes. One year we were able to raise almost 2000 gift boxes. This year the Lord has taken what started out as a tiny spark of light and turned it into a roaring fire warming hearts and bring hope all over the Nation. This year we are partnering with LINK Guatemala, and Vida Real Church. November 17, we were able to offer Perfect Gift boxes to 7 of Vida Real’s Sunday meeting points. In that one day we registered almost 3000 gift boxes, and to date have registered almost 5000. The way it works is the donor buys an empty box with indicated gender and age of a child. They must then take that box and fill it with an item of clothing, school supplies, personal hygiene item, a toy, something special, and a hand written letter. Then they return it to us and we take it to one of the designated donation locations. So far about 3000 boxes have been returned, and we have already had 5 Perfect Gift parties. Our team has been interviewed on the national news, and even the office of the President has given donations!
